After the ¡°SA¡± £¨Selective Availability£© policy became ineffective, the main factor giving influences to GPS positioning precision is the multi-path effect. For many years, NovAtel has focused their resources on the technical research of eliminating the multi-path influences and the continuous innovation of patent technology. This effort increased the receiving ability and anti-interference ability of GPS products, effectively prolonging the tracking duration of satellite signal, and rapidly recapturing the unlocked signal. This ensures high precision, high dynamic range, and high reliability of GPS products.
Pulse Aperture Correlation (PAC)
PAC greatly improves the performances of GPS products to cover the most challenging service situations. Furthermore, PAC technology can reduce the size and power consumption (2.3W) of products and increase the precision (DGPS 0.45M).
Synchronization Position Attitude Navigation (SPAN)
SPAN combines GPS with inertial measurement functions for continuous output of high precision position and attitude data, correcting the positive number with RT-2. SPAN can not only ensure cm-order positioning precision, but also provide the dynamic application data such as accurate speed, acceleration, and rotation measurement etc. Its inertial technology can continuously provide the position output under the unreliable GPS signals.
Pinwheel technology
Pinwheel technology greatly improves the receiving ability of GPS antenna and makes the deviation between L1 and L2 phase centers less than 1mm. In addition, the deviation between the physical center and phase center is reduced to less than 1mm, and the ideal- gain-design reduces the electromagnetic interference and multi-path error.
